This is exactly what you need to do. There are no nafls that are part of namaz. In my opinion, its a fitna, i.e. to discourage people from namaz by adding nafl to it so it looks so lengthy that people find reason to avoid the whole namaz. Like 17 rakats of Isha .. what is that man? Isha is only 9 rakats; 4 farz, 2 sunna, 3 witr. Adding 4 nafl and 4 sunna-e ghair muakadda and make it sound like part of Namaz is such a disservice to Islam in my opinion
