we don't celebrate it, infact 1st Muharam is the date when Hazrat UMMER passed away, and then of course Aashora follows.

She definitely must have fasted because the Holy Prophet :saw: did too…So she was basically following the Messenger :saw:, hence she was fasting…

Sunnat mean act of prophet not the act of yazid's mother. dance according to sunnat, if true follower.

mem sahib..yazidi soldiers burnt the tent of Prophet's grand daughters and took away their chaddar on the 10th mohurram..yazidi soldiers were celebrating then so let their children celebrate now

and wasn't it your forefathers (the people of Kufa) who invited Imam Hussein (rah) to come to Iraq and that they would support him against yazid and when he did come, they backed out of their promise and left the Ahl e Bait to all the suffering...
as far as celebrations are concerned, let me clarify...Muharram is not the month of celebrations, its a very sacred month as it is evident from its name and should hence be treated like one.
