Now why would any Israeli think that a child with a book bag would have a bomb in it?
The answer is sadly obvious. This article is from 2001 but what has changed since then?

The Islamic Jihad is running a summer school - to teach boys the benefits of becoming suicide bombers.

A new generation of children, Palestinian boys aged between 12 and 15 years old, is growing up amid conflict and violence.
The militant group has a sworn mission to wage a holy war against Israel.

The boys are told not only that it is good to kill, but also that it is good to die.

They learn that suicide bomb attacks have proved the most deadly way to hit the Israelis.

Mohammed, a 14-year-old boy, draws himself with explosives strapped to his body, ready to blow himself to pieces if it means killing Jews.

“Yes,” he says, when asked if he wants to be a suicide bomber. “I want to liberate Palestine and be part of the revolution.”

The boys are told that it is good to kill and good to die

The boys are shown pictures of those who have already died in the conflict with Israel.

They are taught that to give their lives is to be guaranteed a place in heaven.

And to be a suicide bomber is one of the highest forms of martyrdom.

They will be greeted in paradise by 70 virgins.

“We are teaching the children that suicide bombing is the only thing that make the Israeli people very frightened. Furthermore, we are teaching them that we have the right to do it,” said Islamic Jihad member Mohammed el Hattab, one of the teachers on the programme.

“We are teaching them that after the suicide attacks, the man who makes it goes to the highest state in paradise,” he said.

For the Israelis all of this is appalling.

They say it is clear evidence that a new generation is being brought up to hate and to kill and they are demanding that it must stop.

Israeli Education Minister Limor Livnat told the BBC: “Poisoned pens make poisoned minds, and poisoned minds lead to violence, to terror attacks, to the killing of Israelis.”

But the people in Gaza insist that this is a direct response to the Israeli occupation and if and when the Israelis leave Palestinian territory, the children will no longer be taught violence or dream of becoming suicide bombers.

UTD so you think that the IDF teaches their soldiers to hand out roses in Gaza and Nables. You teach your soldiers with the best you got. Until and unless there is a standing Army in the occupied Palestine, groups like this (including secularist movements, as PDFP, Fatah, PFLP) will keep on teaching their "soldiers" with the means available to them.

So lets just end the occupation, bring the people back and declare Quds a mutual capital city.

What's wrong with training children to kill?

The British Army, Royal Air Force, and Royal Navy run schemes to provide part-time military training to children starting from age 13.

One of my friends joined up, he underwent NATO firearms training on semi-automatic rifles at age 14, and by the time he was 15 he was recognized as an expert marksman (he could put a bullet in a head-sized target at an extraordinary distance with an assault rifle) as well as being trained on into how to operate a machine gun and use it in support of a platoon scale attack on an entrenched enemy.

(Ironically, this former trained killing machine is now about to qualify as a medical doctor)

Ok, so the Palestinians go on the offensive with suicide bombs rather than sniper rifles and machine guns (generally), but if the British Army can train its 13-year olds on how to use Britain's weapons why shouldn't the Palestinian kids be trained on the most effective weapons they have?

That what corrupt leaders get you. Billions of dollars in International Aid goes to the Palestinian Authority and the Pals still live in slums. Keep blaming Israel, after all pawns aren't expected to ask questions and demand answers.

ohh so you have already added up the billions PA is getting, so what was going on before Oslo and PA? The Palestinians were living in palaces under the occupation, right? The fact is people in Palestine suffered almost daily annexation of Palestinian agricultural land and an almost daily occurrence of house demolition in occupied territories; this is what happened from 1948 to 1990.
