Islamic form of government

Re: Islamic form of government

Some questions:

So this Majlis Al Ummah is a consortium of men and women; of either muslims or non-muslims? What is their role in the government?

And then from this group is elected a Khalif..from only the male muslims?

Who are the votees?

Is it also only the male Muslims who can vote?

Are there any restrictions as to the religion/sex of the two assistants (re: 2nd post)?

Is the restriction on women mostly due to the the religion being formed at a time when it was dangerous for women to be in such position, and therefore adaptable now that the situation has changed; or..just cause women are claimed to be bad rulers (altho men aren’t so dandy)? I’d also like to see what scripture/hadith is in regards to this point, if u have it handy.

thanks
