Islamic Forces In Iraq To Legitimize Occupation: IOL Poll

CAIRO, August 5, (IslamOnline.net) - An overwhelming majority of 10970 people who participated in an IslamOnline.net poll criticized the Saudi initiative on sending Arab and Islamic forces to Iraq, considering it an attempt to legitimize the US occupation of the oil-rich Arab country.

Some 90.15% of those who responded to the poll, conducted during the period from August 1 to 3, said the initiative is not about “offering protection for the Iraqi people.”

Saudi Arabia has proposed the creation of an Islamic force for deployment in Iraq, an overture welcomed by the US and the Iraqi interim government but expected to draw ire of Muslims opposed to the US-led occupation of the oil-rich country.

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah discussed the initiative on Wednesday, July 28, with visiting US Secretary of State Colin Powell, reported the Washington Post on Thursday, July 29.

The Saudi proposal involves contributions of troops from across the Muslim world but not from Iraq’s neighbors, which Iraqi officials have said they would not welcome.

Participants in a discussion forum initiated to get people’s feedback concerning this issue, considered the Saudi initiative a Zionist bid to give an Islamic cover to the occupation forces in Iraq and to create more troubles for the Arab peoples.

“I refuse the Saudi initiative as it is a Zionist bid to beautify the image of (US President George) Bush before the elections,” said one of the participants.

“I refuse the proposal as it aims at mixing cards for fueling sectarian war in anarchy-mired Iraq,” he added.

Another participant said the Saudi proposal would cause “more troubles” to all Arab countries, considering it as a recurrence of the Kuwait invasion.

Alhamdulilah this shows clear indication that most muslims can see through the US and there puppet agents plans.

US should pull out immediately as that will solve all of Iraq's problems. Following US departure all parties within Iraq will work together and solve all of the issues they face in developing a stable and representative country.

Nobody asked te US to stick thier nose where it didnt belong.
