Islamic economic system

What is the ideal economic system in islam ?
Please explain in simple terms with examples from Islamic history esp. from the time of Prophet(saw) and the Pious caliphs

Re: Islamic economic system

Das Reich, you can list the principles of Islamic Economics in simple terms, though you cannot explain the whole system in one post.

The principles are fairness, rule of law, encouragement to invest, circulation of capital and creating a financially healthy society that is NOT top heavy or in other words the difference among poor and rich is trivial. Though contrary to common belief, this difference is not created through taxing the rich heavily.

Disclaimer: I am not expert in economics or Islamic version of it. The above is from what I have read.

Re: Islamic economic system

islamic economic system can oly work if there is provision of war and bringing bounties from it or there is some free-stuff like oil otherwise it's unsustainable and ludicrous just look around the world and see for urelf...... so called no-interest loans these days are nothing but hoodwinking religious edicts they just increase the prinicpal .. an interest by any name remains an interest

Re: Islamic economic system

I was hoping if we could discuss the two examples of relative stability in early islamic history the state of Medina in the time of Prophet(saw) and the caliphate of Umar(ra) from an economic point of view
