Are you an official spokesman for Saudi Arabia?
Plus who is talking against KSA in this thread? We have right to share our view that we think are wrong. Saudi Arabians are not the center of Earth nor is they are Tower of Islam. Islam is based on Quran and Sunnat’ and Hadees. Islam neither ever said to follow blindly Saudi Arabians or Saudi Arabia! Period…

KSA people have absolutely wrong Calendar method, so their Islamic dates are totally un-authentic for us! According to Islam we can’t fix the dates prior to see the moon.

To be familiar with Islam doesn’t require a ‘must living’ in KSA nor it gives any right to any KSAian to act as Imaam of the Islamic nation!

And besides all these’ ‘things that cause unwanted arguments and debates shud better be avoided’

Not a bad idea...Saudia would be a good starting point..I dont think anyone claims they are perfect..but neither are the alternatives.

This is a great idea. Why let it go to waste over a few minor issues (like different date zones). Start with one and see how it goes.

KSA is the only country in the world which uses the hijri calendar officially for their day-today procedures and not only for ramadhan and hajj like the rest of the muslims....
hence one shud expect them to be more careful....

just cuz they made a mistake once (and were good enuff to accept the mistake and announce it to the world) does not mean that they have a wrong method of calendaring....
and as far as i know, they decide the dates based on moon-sighting, and i dont see anything wrong in that....
