Islamic books in pakistan

why r they so biased for?? why do they sound so same?? I have read i think about three books that i got from Pak and every single one shows women as being house wives, and thats like the ultimate purpose of life, to feed and satisfy a man ..offcourse thats PART of a womans life, but it doesnt mean thats all a woman can do..i remember reading a book where the author said there is no need for girls to be running around in colleges and universities..i mean COME ON!!! and the lady herself has a PhD

This guy got books from pakistan and we wanted to put in our masjids tiny library for girls to read and realize how imp it is to be educated. And not just getting a degree in eng or cs or something…Islamic education..knowledge about ur religion and wat u beleive in..using ur freaken mind that Allah gave u to use..so I need a lil help from u guys. I am gonna try to read as many books as i can that he brought and see which ones i can put up in the lib, so it encourages them to read and learn more..
do u guys know of any Islamic books that define a real womens role?? And gives these girls muslim role models??

u r probably reading the wrong books....
try reading books by different scholars....
try one by mawdudui, one by mufti taqi usmani, one by suleiman nadwi, one translation from ibn taymiyah, one from imam ghazali....
mix it and u'll see different views....

P.S. most bookshops in pakistan keep books written by people who support their own beliefs (biased ofcourse) so try changing the book shop....

well said.

Re: Islamic books in pakistan

Skip books from PK. And try to buy books abt biography of Hazrat Aisha(r.a) and Hazrat Fatima(r.a). I think that will be a good start.
