Re: Islamic aspect of wearing a Tie.
What is the ruling on wearing trousers if they are tight and stick to one’s body, or if they are baggy in order to imitate the westerners, what if a person wears a different style from what the westerners wear?
What is the ruling on wearing suit and tie and other clothes usually used by the unbelievers? Is it acceptable because it became of Muslims’ habits and that an average Muslim will not think that they are worn to resemble the unbelievers? What should a Muslim wear nowadays?.

^ do u know what ppl in the middle east wear?
Re: Islamic aspect of wearing a Tie.
OK let me be more precise. Many Muslims who dont wear tie, think that tie depict a cross and wearing it represents the belief in crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Based on the homework that i did, that theory is totally wrong. Tie has a different history behind it and it represents a warrior (more on this later).
Re: Islamic aspect of wearing a Tie.
^
seriously. I have never heard of this.
Re: Islamic aspect of wearing a Tie.
the tie is more like a tiny shrunken hijab.
Re: Islamic aspect of wearing a Tie.

For the men, a pet peeve of mine. If you have gained a few extra ounces and your shirt collar no longer fits, do not try to hide an unbuttoned top button under a knotted tie. Buy a bigger shirt ![]()

In olden days in Europe, soldiers used to wear a scarf around their neck to wipe the blood off (from the battle wounds). Later, on their return, they used to parade in the blood stained scarf, which used to be looked as a badge of honor and bravery in that society. That scarf was replaced as by a symbolic neckwear that latter evolved into what we known as tie.

You never saw Muslim men (mostly Arabs) wearing a suit without a tie? For instance, see any pic of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. You will never find one with a tie
Re: Islamic aspect of wearing a Tie.
Peace,
But this symbolic doesn't refer to any kind of 'ritual' i mean if i say it in another words like many others (depends) believe in 'Taweez' (wearing like taweez). So I guess tie is not like that. So I don't think there is any harm or restriction of wearing it.
