I want to list out a comprehensive list of all the known and authentic Islamic and Biblical sites. I have a long desire to visit all the sites that are mentioned in Quran and Bible. Inshallah I will.
I start with sequence of time in history for each site and related personality/nation and events. Please use place, significance, authenticity, highlights to standardize data.
Place: Mount Ararat - Turkey
Significance: Noah’s Ark came to rest after the great flood.
Authenticity: People of that region (Jews/Muslims) for last several centuries believe that Mount Ararat is actually the mountains of Ararat mentioned in Bible. It is still being researched though.
Highlights: Don’t know if they have found ruins of Ark. It would have been very interesting to see it. No museum either.
Please post the places you know or have visited and that have Islamic or Biblical references.
I do not have any reference but I heard it in a lecture by Dr. Israr Ahmed that there were some reports of the finding of the wreckage of the Ark. Does any body know any of that sort?

that happens every once in a while. Nothing conclusive comes out of it.
