Let me see...did I mention Karachi thread here...I dont think so.I m not talking about one thread or another.I was trying to talk about the bigger picture as per my observation:
Its so weird but there is a pattern going on here...first of all there is the Me! Me Me..then"Im better then you"..if not that , then"We are better then you all".then "one up"..then if there cant be that...now lets get personal and do character assasination all in the name of joke huh!.. lets just say later we were just joking and cant you just take a joke? so where do we stop?
It seems more like bullying at times then anything else...I have talked to some GS membraan too..they feel that too.
btw ask99- I started the karachi thread not as any competition but as a way to reminisce together with a couple of guys because we relaized in general conversation that our paths had crossed, either liek aliyish or tariq, who went to the same schol, or like AQ and myself, because his dad and my dad are old friends, and we realized that this year while we have been yapping away on GS for years. There was no competition, or any intention of anyione saying "we are better than you" if you go to the thread what we are talking about is places we ate, places to see, a day in the life, interesting events.
as far as 'you guys keep the ball rolling for all of GS' , we have no control on if someone wants to open a thread on lahore, or gwadar. if people want to talk about their cities than so be it. whats the big deal, and as long as inter city rivalry does not get crude i think its okay.
I dont ultimately want anything, except to reminisce about the city with some locals that I call friends, find out about other interesting places that i did not get a chance to see for future trips, and more than anything kick back and laugh about the fun times of a carefree age in a dynamic city.
And again I am not talking about a single thread that you opened Frauds or the ones that have followed....So where does the Buck stop?
