Anwar Ali lost his nerves…all he had to do is to take single of 1st ball but he tried to smash it out of the ground…and repeated the same again on another lousy delivery…
And with 2 dot balls…and 5 runs to score and crazy runout…they have to loose…
No thats not only Anwar Ali. with 2 overs and 7 runs to win it should have never gone to the last over. They had 7 wickets in hand FFS. And then missing so many balls?? Its ridiculous.
I want to give credit to Sami and Misbah but trust me its less about them and more about Quetta getting choked right at the finish line.
It is my observation in the cricket that if team batting first manages to score high in the last 2-3 overs it tilts the momentum towards them…and team batting 2nd often loose because of runs scored in those last overs…it was Watson’s 3 shots..4 , 6 & 6 which QG couldnt get…and it is not 1st time Anwar Ali choked…it was wrong decision to send him up in the order…when only 5 runs were needed and lots of wickets of wickets in hand…Anwar Ali choked twice…1st while bowling to Watson and 2ndly facing Sami…just check out the 1st two deliveries of Sami…he was asking to be smacked out of stadium…
And thats exactly Pakistani team is lacking…“Finishing”…since Razaq is out…we dont have finisher…the other day when IU was playing LQ and it was Elliot who saved the day otherwise LQ lost their 4/5 wickets in matter of 20-30 runs and had same situation where the were 9 wkts down and 4 deliveries left and 4 or 5 runs required…put a Pakistani player there and he would have done exactly what Anwar Ali did today
