islamabad to turkey

Does anyone know how long the flight is from islamabad to Istanbul, turkey. i was planning a trip to islamabad in the fall, and wanted to go to Turkey for a couple of days.

thanks in advance

Re: islamabad to turkey

Flight will be about 5-7 hours so not quite long haul or short but something in between.

Depends on the route your plane takes... it will either be across the northern route which is fiercely cold and you'll be looking down at the steppes from your plane if the views clear... you get to fly over all the former soviet block countries before arriving in Turkey.

If your Plane flies across the southern route then you will be looking down on Iran a lot of the way which is gonna be a desert view and then through Turkmenistan possibly over Iraq and the arab countries and thence to Turkey.

I know the route by land like the back of my hand but not sure about the sky route.

Anyhow 5-7 hours is what your looking at... for an average non stop time.

Re: islamabad to turkey

The Southern route from Islamabad goes along Indus River and then turns right near Quetta entering Iran. Flights to Jeddah go through same route too.

Why don't you consider flying Turkish airlines from Karachi......It could be cheaper including Islamabad - Karachi segment. Or consider Eithad, Emirates, Gulf Air route from Islamabad via UAE.

This is the best time to visit Istanbul....
