I think this so called dharna is not going anywhere and make lives of people more miserable. This stupid government who takes orders from ‘na ehal’ PM should go home asap. An interim government comprised of judges headed by CJ should be formed to conduct elections in 90 days.

this dharna is merely a symptom of a bigger disease which Pakistan has and that is overzealous religiosity
on GS pages, this humble servant of yours has multiple times requested for a secular govt system in Pakistan but majority of posters as well as Pakistanis want some form of Islamic system but no one knows the contours of this islamic governance system.
and this is what you get (read faiza-bad crisis) when you enable religious parties.
yes our federal system is weak and is completely dismantled but the bigger problem is that you go and talk to anyone among Pakistani masses and you will find out that 99% of those masses will be supporting this goon khadim hussain rizwi and his demands. that is the scary part. every pakistani has his DNA messed up with a weird type of overzealous religiosity. all of us are part of this flawed religiously-motivated ecosystem one way or the other and if Pakistan fails, it will fail due to this rotten religious ecosystem where folks will be killing each other
shame on PTI for supporting these religious goons for petty political gains. shah mahmood qureshi, doob kar mar jao for participating in a religious rally with goons of khadham rizvi in multan.
and those who wanted the govt to use force, well the govt did use the force and the result is that these religious goons are now appearing in every city. there are too many of them and they have public support. that is the scary part. pakistan is annihilating and we are all contributing to it on the name of religion

in the end, PMLN is the sitting govt and will be held responsible for this mess. they must go now. they are looking very weak. There is no room for PMLN govt anymore.
but before they go, this crisis needs to be resolved and these religious goons need to be defeated and all political parties need to be together on this issue

Just to clarify your position…You’re saying that an elected government should resign and hand over power to judiciary and another election should be formed. How does that even make sense? NS was found guilty and has resigned.
I agree on the sheer audacity of the leaders of this dharna/protest and their influence on life of ordinary people. This certainly needs to be curbed but clearly has hallmarks of military backing/support. I think it is time the religious right stepped in line and I support a forceful crackdown (non lethal of course). It’s a shame it was poorly planned and executed by the Police/rangers.
However, I don’t agree with new elections being held as the current government comfortably won the last ones and by most sources will most likely win the next. I think PTI will take a major hit in the next ones and PPP will remain the same. An easy PMLN victory due to poor to no opposition.
And besides next year is the elections anyway for the sake of democracy and some institutional order this government should be allowed to carry out its term which is their right as did PPPP.

alas, but it seems to be the case. COAS was issuing open statements in last 48 hours via twitter that govt shd do this and govt shd not do that. complete disrespect to civiian govt but Pakistanis deserve this as everyone on twitter was inviting army to take over the country

do you guys know who was the first person who demanded the resignation of the minister in relation to this khatam nubawat crisis even when the crisis was solved 3 weeks ago. the govt already took the controversial bill back, apologized for a clerical error and annulled all the changes but this person demanded the resignation of the minister

guess again, it was Mian Muhammaad Shahbaz Sharif. Shanbaz sharif was the person who showed this path to religious goons. shanbaz sharif then let these goons travel all the way to islamabd with no restrictions whatsoever.

but in the end,no matter how you look at it, the PMLN govt in Islamabad could have handled these 2000 religious goons more effectively, so lets not hide behind conspiracy theories alone

Becasue PMLN dont want to take action against religious parties ( not to loose religious votes ) . Court cornered them to take action. To save the face they tried to bring army in the game ( who are the actual initiator of this dharna ) so as to share the public emotions of attacking religuous scholars..
Army kicked their orders so PMLN not having any other options… Yesterday I saw Ahsan iqbal , he was soo scared. I bleive he has taken oath of believing in the KHATM-E-NAbuwaat 3 times in various channels…
Ppl of PMLN are really scared of this mob. They can kill any one on the name of blasphemy..
