Islamabad Islamic Schools?

Asalaamualaikum

I posted this on another thread but didn’t get much response. So…

Does anybody know of English medium schools in Islamabad that have a good Islamic curriculum and are not co-educational?

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

I heard about Al-huda school in Islamabad. Seems the have, what you are looking for.

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

AL huda is just for girls and is totally for religious studies, they dont teach you regular subjects like Maths or Science… but I’ll deffinately recommend it :k:

If u’re looking for co-ed, you’ll find many, but i dont know of any that teach more of reigion other than ‘Islamiyat’.

I would recommend OPF in F-8, Bahria School in E-8… rest depends on what grade ure looking at, most schools seperate girls and boys from grade 6 to 12

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

Thanks for the replies.

I have heard of OPF. Is it in Islamabad? I thought it was in Rawalpindi? Do you know how I could get contact information for them?

My youngest child is 7 and eldest is 12. What is the grade system in Pakistan? I assume it is different to the Uk.

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

Maderrsa Aisha IN F-8 also is a very good islamic school for girls

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

Is it English medium?

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

OPF is everywhere... one of the better campuses is in F-8...

u can call 051-9206783 and ask for the OPF college in F-8's phone number... i';m sure they'll tell ya :)

good english medium Islamic education along with the British system of education.

lets try again
I hope it works this time

Assalam-o-alaikam,

I have come across a school that has just opened recently in F11/3. This is run by some individuals from the UK and they predominately concentrate on English and our cultural/traditional studies.
Most of the children are also from abroad i.e. UK,Australia,Canada,USA etc.

I am also from UK and I have admitted my children there as this is exactly what I am looking for.

So far so good and well worth a try.

The school is Oxbridge International Grammar School or the website is:
oxbridgeschool.edu.pk

tel: 051 222 5155

I hope it could be of help to you

Hi All,

Does anyone know about Aims School or Marjan school in F-8 ?

I am looking for the best school which offer very good education in English language and Islamic studies.

Thanks

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

I though these schools were not taking any children from outside Pakistan.

I might be wrong but is it safe to send your children there?

Another question is some of English Medium schools are much worse than UK so need to need to carry out full research before send your children there.

Good luck

Assalam-o-alaikam,

Its interesting reading your comments but I would like to add the fact that it was very difficult to find ISLAMIC and ENGLISH MEDIUM in the same sentence until I visited Oxbridge International Grammar School in F11/3 (thanks to member britishguy).
Unfortunately, most of the schools that you have mentioned are either too madrassa orientated or they are English medium but too secularised.

I'll just mention some of the points that you guys have raised:

1: It's not just for girls (but for boys as well) and it is not totally for religious studies, they DO teach regular subjects like Maths, Science and English.
2. It is not a madrassa.
3. It is English Medium
4. As for member fzahoor this is the best school which offers very good education in English language and Islamic studies.
5. As for member saqi the angel This English Medium school is AS good as schools in the UK. In fact I would go as far as to say this is better than them because it teaches Islamic subjects as well.

In a nutshell this school offers British style of education in an Islamic framework and that is not co-educational.

salams

Assalam-o-alaikam,

Marjan/Aims are ok. that's just about it...........ok

Madrassa Aishah is Urdu Medium only I guess.

Oxbridge School is very good and English Medium.

EM something is not bad but too expensive.

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

Hi,
I dont normally take part in Islamic School discussions but I couldnt help noticing the dilemma you guys are in.

My aunty was appraising oxbridge islamic grammar school in islamabad last week. She was saying "it was probably the best upcoming islamic school in Islamabad or even pakistan".

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

I am moving this thread in career and academics forum

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

Asalam o Alikum Brother
I’m looking for same type of school in wah cantt , which teaches British system of education and Islamic educations, as I’m moving from UK aswell pls do give me some advise or suggestion as you already experienced it .
My kids are age 9 , 5 and 3.
I’m planning to move in September this year. I have seen few schools like Beaconhouse, lgs and roots and also Alhuda . The problem is Those are completely English medium schools and Alhuda teaches just some basic English and more of Islamic studies, hifz and nazras but i was looking for a school which have both good educations system because if we have to move back to UK after few years the kids can carry on their studies in UK .

Re: Islamabad Islamic Schools?

I am also living in Islamabad i know about universities of Islamabad , all universities provide top result , but u r asking about Islamic studies, in Islamabad many schools are good but not provide enough English and science knowledge but not provide Islamic studies knowledge. I appreciate it is really a good topic.
