Islamabad is at a standstill because everybody is watching the drama. No other reason.

If this was karachi, police would have opened fire ages ago (family or not)
Secondly, love how all this flow of information is readily available in a hostage situation, his demands, his state of mind, who all he’s spoken to, etc And most if it is pure speculation but doesn’t prevent it from making the rounds as “fact”

Omg look at the footage of ARY lol…he is walking around with a gun so relaxed and randomly and a police officer is negotiating with him in civil clothing..the whole atmosphere is so chilled

Chowdhury Nisar had earlier said to end the seige within 30 minutes...it was like 2 hours ago...now, chowdhury is saying "the woman and kids MUST NOT be harmed"...this means it will very well last overnight. he will get tired soon!
i saw the kids and woman way away from the gunman...why didn't the law enforcement forces seize the opportunity and seize/kill the guy?

nakara hakoomat, shows that one man can do so much, with the govt machinery having no will to fight back this is what happens, will continue to happen.
If he is killed the CJ will take somoto and demand that govt officials be arrested and tried for crime against humanity like in the case of Lal Masjid.
