After converting Lahore to Paris, sharif brothers have successfully converted Islamabad into Venice. It seems as if The flagship project of Islamabad metro does not have adequate sewerage system to cater for rains. Maybe this was bound to happen when a project of this scale was handed over to crook like Hanif Abbasi. In the past at least Islamabad used to sustain rains, pindi used to get flooded. Anyways time for شوباز کی شوبازیاں. Long shoes and pictures of him standing in knee high water.

Btw, islamabad doesn't have a sewerage system ? I thought that at least this and gwadar would be a properly planned city after all!
It used to have one, it seems as if metro has disrupted it. Seeing the pictures it seems the route of metro does not have adequate sewerage/drainage. The rest @desertbird pai can shed light on. The thread is still missing Shahbaz in his gummy boots.
I live in Pindi , It was just a routine rain , Only planning in construction work of the attached area was not good and quick service orders made much more , Not big losses but caused big drama .
Islamabad used to be a different city to the rest, thanks to Musharraf (who cut the trees of margalla in the guise of security), and zardari who did nothing (most roads and traffic signals were in bad condition during that tenure) and Nawaz have converted this city into an ordinary Pakistani city. The green belts have been eaten up by the lanes of metro, and it seems as if Islamabad will also drown with other cities from now onwards.
Strict action should be taken against Contractors & NESPAK (Consultant) for not following the scope of project especially to drainage at some of the stations

Yes not all of Islamabad, the areas around metro have become Venice. And those are the posh areas of the city including blue area. Don't know what that means. This is what happens when quality is compromised to deliver something in haste, not to ignore the news of corruption in the project coming out.
