Islam is the fastest growing religion and has spurred a multitude of conversions from other ideologies worldwide. I wonder what an outsider sees in Islam (that moderate Muslims such as I perhaps don’t) that prompts them to convert. Take Christians for example. There are numerous Christians who have converted to Islam (and continue to do so everyday) that come anywhere from religious to liberal non-Islamic backgrounds. I wonder what is the one thing that instantly drives them towards Islam and keeps them mesmerized by this wonderful religion for the rest of their lives.

The US will increase its population from the existing 292 million to 422 in the next 43 years, while Indonesia, with the current population of 220 million, will grow by 94 million during the same period.
There are more important factors, than the means Muslims are increasing their population.
That is another thing that Muslim scholars repeat day and night that Muslims are not following true Islam (personally I do not know, what they mean)
But Muslims have really become a force in many secular states.
Like in India, every Indian Govt knows friendship with Israel is more in need, but no one can eccept it openy, not even present BJP PM>
A sect created in 7th century has really won over the centuries.
Off course, whoever is proud of incresing Muslim population, pls have a look in the third word countries' slum area, as majority of dwellers are Muslims, pls find out how do they live and look like.

In Karachi, there is a big area called Essa colony (Christians society).... do you know what it looks like?

A few questions. Are you equating slum areas with muslims? Surely you are not.
Secondly, because muslims may be poor, I suppose they should change their religion so they dont live in a poor state any longer? Is that what you are indicating?
Thirdly, what is wrong with being poor? Is it something to be looked down upon? Thanks.
^ people who are poor are most likely less educated or illiterate in certain parts of the world. Prosyletization is a lot easier with those feeble minded sots where fear, superstition and black and white explanation and guidance might seem like delivery from poverty. but unfortunately, it is never the case. Whether it be the slums of karachi, Dhakka, Mumbai, Sing Sing or Levenworth.
We are questioning the poor state of the people living in slum areas of third world countries.
In fact their state of living remained same after they changed their religion to Islam or Christianity.
Majority of them is illiterate, hence pls don’t tell me that they read holy books, were influenced and decided to convert.
Mullahs or Nuns lured them to other religions. Did it change their lifestyle? No.
What the hell, that you people are so proud that so and so is a fast growing religion?
Another question,……. ‘Mass conversions’ were possible till the mid of 20th centuries. Why such gatherings vanished?
The reason is awareness. And people cannot be made fool by converters forever.
(Christian organizations have taken many good steps for betterment of slum dwellers, like education and medical care, but Mullahs turn away once their seat in hell, sorry, in paradise is reserved, and further this slum gentry is used only for political gains.)
