I was refering mainly to Aisha's age (around 10 - 12 ?)compared to the holy Prophet's ( 50?)- it must have been fairly acceptable then.
But things have changed now, even muslims would be loathe to have their daughters marry someone their grandfathers age - that too who already has several other wives.
its off topic but Aisha(ra) was around 17 years old when she got married with the Prophet(SAW).
