Hareem,** I didn't mean to go off-topic, I was offering a reason as to why covering of face has not been religiously ordained.** But thank you for pointing out the misinformation I had posted. I did some search and found that the face-hiding students abducted a couple of women, put ropes around their necks & dragged them to the madrassah, but did NOT beat them (at least that's what I found on the BBC website). I won't post anything else about this to prevent going off-topic again :)
Your reasoing is not based on a hadith or ayah, but on Jamia Hafsa's students and news report from BBC. If you want to argue that niqaab is not obligatory then please bring evidence from Quran or Sunnah. And you don't have to convince me in this matter.
