Islam is a moderate religion: Your definition.

Re: Islam is a moderate religion: Your definition.

Excess of everything is bad (if unplanned and unorganized), but excess of hard work, patience, sacrifices in the right direction in accordance to the rules defined, leads to great legends in all fields of life. Shaitan has 70,000 noorani tactics, by which he misguides a believer in such a way that the Muslim thinks his Imaan is ok, while it isn't. e.g. Shaitan pats a person and says that MashaAllah you give so much charity and pray 5 times, there are so many Muslims out there who don't even do that in such bad times of Ummah. But when it comes to salary/profession/ facilities..etc, shaitaan always show him people who are at higher status than him, so that he may strive more and more for more comfort/latest cell phones/best laptops/...etc. consuming his sweat and blood more in competing in materialistic gains rather then competing in tahajjud prayers, talawat, good manners, zikr, helping the poor, spreading teaching of Prophet (saw)...etc. (that the suhabas used to compete in).

Father: Son, I want you to not take any chapter of your subject lightly, every minor topic is important because it adds to your overall score. If you want to take 100% marks in final exams, you should be fully prepared.

Son: But dad I want to be a moderate student, who also enjoys video games, face book, twitter,...etc. during the exams.

Father: Son, in order to become the best you need to sacrifice your luxuries/entertainments a bit more in order to give more time to your studies. The more you give time in making efforts, the higher grades you get. There always is room at the top, and the best in one's field gets the best salary, facilities, respect, honor,....etc. in the end.

In order to call yourself a physics scientist, you don't need to follow everything newton followed. If you only follow few of his principles, you would still manage to be called an (ordinary) physics scientist.

Was Newton a moderate scientist or an extreme scientist when it comes to keeping a balance with other aspects/social relationships in life ? Was he too strict in following the principles of physics ? If so, then, would he have achieved what he did without being strict/fundamentalist/less social ?

^ That was for achieving greatness individually, but that doesn't mean that in order to become a physics student/teacher you have to be as strict as he was, because generally the basics in a physics learning course is very easy and facilitating for everyone to be able to learn and practice in life. You can become a moderate physics teacher and practice teaching it while keeping a balance with other aspects/facilities/relationships in life.

BUT, if you want to become as great as newton in physics and achieve as much reward as he got, you have to make sacrifices of your sleep/comfort/other luxuries + facilities as he did, without caring of how extremist (of physics) people call you.
