All Abrahamic faiths are Eastern in origin. Come to think of it most of the world’s major faiths are Eastern in origin. However over time the faith does change in practise, culture, and tradition. Most of the times it reflects the attitudes and thoughts of the people that practise it. Primitive people have always had primitive practices, a reflection of their faith which may or may not be accurate. Islam originally came to a very primitive people. Over time the society evolved the traditions changed but how much of a change has there been where it matters, the psyche? Or are we as primitive as ever? I’ve often thought about what the world would have been like if Islam had been revealed to a more less primitive society. What do you think the world would have been like if Islam had come to the West?
