This thread is inspired by Psyah, who in one of his rrcent posts abt a week ago ( I forget which) mentioned something about the origins of The Book ( I assume he meant the Quran) as proof of God’s existence. At the time, I wanted to ask about the origins of the book, but hesitated. I thought this thread can be used to share the origin of Quran in simple easy to understand language. The significance of the black ( stone/ structure?) In Mecca could also be shared. This thread was also inspired by Sweet lady thread on info abt other religions.
I personally have anecdotal information ( from another source) on how a Muslim lady in south india used to treat poor Muslims who would stop by her house. She would feed them in same plate etc as used by household. She would invite them in and sear them where other house members sit. ( I had open thread in all views on this abt 5 months ago).. that was mind blowing. Always at thexback of my mind, I knew it was the religious influence.
Sometimes the positive thought what one feels about others get all muddied up in arguments. Thought this would be nice opportunity to clean the slate and start on a positive venture to learn the good aspects of others.
The thread hopefully would educate those of us who know little about Islam.
