Islam and Science

Salam everyone:

I need listings of some good books that compare Islam with Science/Modern Science? If anyone knows, please let me know.

Appreciate your help.

Re: Islam and Science

Apples and oranges.

Why not modern accounting practices with Islam?

What is this fixation with science? It’s simply a field of study like any other…

Granted, there may be some overlap in subject matter…but not nearly as much as you think.

The way I look at it, Islam is greater than science yet Islam encourages us to study so there is no better way to study nature than using scientific methods.

Treating them as peers is a bit confusing…

Anyhow, you can find a few links here:

I’m not quite sure as to what exactly it is that you’re looking for, but I hope you find the following two URLs helpful, insha’Allah.

A Brief Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam

Re: Islam and Science

Please let me know if there is any mention of life on other planets in Holy Quran. I know that its not mentioned in a direct way.

Cos if the answer is no, it can put rest to all these UFO controversies.

Thanks.

Re: Islam and Science

Salam ailakum,

Basically, what I am trying to find are the Surahs or/and Hadiths those support science. Eg: Extraterrestrial life, Photosynthesis process and many other topic that are now visible to us through science.

Thanks

Re: Islam and Science

A very good site which somewhat compares science and Islam plus it has a lot of info on Islam from science point of view.
