How many years before the Islamic world becomes secular again? Look at Pakistan. I don't think that the young generation really would have a positive impression of islam. Private enterprise and democracy is more popular than in the past.

The trend is going in the opposite direction, globally. A measure of this is the spread in popularity of hijab, as well as more extreme coverings. The challenge which is arising is the inexperience of Islamists in politics after decades of repression.

In case of Pakistan in particular, a recent survey of 5000 Pakistanis between 18 and 29 showed the opposite of what you claimed. The army and religion were the most popular institutions.

Pakistan has been secular since its birth, islam has never been the ruling system in pak, what are you talking about muslims don't have positive impression of islam.

every one of those corrupt politicians in pakistan has to use the muslim islam sympathy card just to get elected.

It is secularism and democracy which has failed pakistan, you now see America is invading the muslim countries and forcing the hypocrisy of democracy through the barrel of gun!

I agree with mad scientist, the country (and the muslim world) is becoming more conservative.
