'Islam and education' for a non muslims audience

Re: ‘Islam and education’ for a non muslims audience

*Here’s what was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the first time: *

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

[096:001] Read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists).

[096:002] He has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood).

[096:003] Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.

[096:004] Who has taught (the writing) by the pen.

[096:005] He has taught man that which he knew not.

In Ibn Kathir’s tafsir, the first portion briefly outlines the actual event of how the revelation took place and the events following it shortly after. For details, please visit: The Beginning of the Prophethood of Muhammad and the First of the Qur’an revealed

In addition, there is an article that I posted here a while ago that propagates Muslims seeking knowledge and I believe it makes references to Quran and Sunnah. Here’s the link: Islam and the Pursuit of Worldly Knowledge
