The five prayers are understood by various Qur'an commentators from verses: 11:114, 17:78, 20:130... they understand Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha to all be indicated within the timings given here... of course the Prophet (saw) acted out these prayers, explaining them as was his role...

MiniMe here maybe right and actually reduce the number of times we have to pray. From 5 to 3.

MiniMe: See I am only upto chapter /sura 4 verse 34. However when I reach 4:103 11:114. I will change the praying frequency, but thanks for showing me the right path. I stand corrected once again. I knew the three times but was always under the impression that Allah (swt) may have slipped another 2 somewhere in the Quraan (It is a big book after all).
I have a question since this is Islam 101. Can you explain Madhanees point regarding the number of prayers.

I see a contradiction here, I thought you never believed in Tafsir but you are doing it your self. Anyway, Verizon you can take the horse to the water but you can never make him drink, Huda is from Allah and Allah alone, no Quran or Muhammad can stand in the way.

The word Tafsir mean elaboration or explanation of Quranic ayats, it doesnt mean that you add or subtract from Quran.

And who is adding and subtracting from Quraan?

Just out of curiosity, does’nt the Koran say that about itself. Hence the circular reasoning theory can be applied to it as well … NO ??
