I've always wondered myself what lemonade is called in Punjabi. When I go to Pak, I get mixed responses from my cousins. Sometimes they call it skanjvee, others times they call it shikanjee......I've even heard skwangee.

^ I asked my mom. She said it's called iskanjabeen in urdu and skanjavi in Punjabi.

It's made with lemon juice, black rock salt, a little sugar, zeera powder and chilled water.

To a pitcher of chilled water u add 1/2 cup of sugar syrup, salt (to taste) 1/2 tsp zeera powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper and the same amount of "kaala namak" black rock salt.
