The leading criminal here is Bhutto. Pretend all you want about the ‘purpose’ of the political cell, but it was made specifically to stunt all opposition, in line with Bhuttos aims of complete control over Pakistan…in line with his martial law…and in line with his obscene 1977 elections ‘victory’.

The argument you are using can also be used by the defendants of the Asghar Khan case. After all, all that happened in 1990 was campaign financing. Money was passed on by donors to the ISI, to be disbursed to specific political parties. The reason ISI was in the middle of these money transfers is because Bhutto politicized it. Had he kept ISI out of politics, things would have been different. But then again, ZAB was born out of a martial law, and ran a martial law himself. His entire 'political career was run on the back of the army. He used the army for his own sick benefits, and when the army went against him, PPP started with their ‘mazloomiat’ chant. Bull. And PPP has the guts to blame other politicians for their links to the army.
Bhutto family thinks Pakistan is their personal piggy bank, meant to be passed on in inheritance, one scumbag to another.

This is all bull crape and lie created by JI. You should read the history of ISI when it was created and who used it politically. Perhaps you were not born at that time. **However, the weak performance of the MI in sharing intelligence between the Army, Naval and Air Force during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947 led to the creation of the Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in 1948.[4

In the late 1950s, when Ayub Khan became the President of Pakistan, he expanded the role of ISI and MI in monitoring opposition politicians, and sustaining military rule in Pakistan.[5] The ISI was reorganised in 1966 after intelligence failures in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965,[6] and expanded in 1969. Khan entrusted the ISI with the responsibility for the collection of internal political intelligence in East Pakistan. Later on, during the Baloch nationalist revolt in Balochistan in the mid-1970s, the ISI was tasked with performing a similar intelligence gathering operation.[6]

The ISI lost its importance during the regime of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who was very critical of its role during the 1970 general elections, which triggered off the events leading to the partition of Pakistan and emergence of Bangladesh.[6]
