ISI - CIA Romance over?

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said the cooperation between ISI and CIA is over.

Pakistan and the US have developed differences over war on terror he added. If America can include us in decision making, only then we can allow drone attacks, prime minister revealed while giving an interview to the TIME magazine.

He further said his government could fall for supporting the United States. He cannot support America If people of Pakistan are against it, he said

Being a politician; he would only listen to his people, he added. He wondered why the US decided to unilaterally launch Abbottabad operation.
If we are fighting war on terror together then rest of the decision should also be made jointly, he maintained.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

And Gilani is the one to announce it? :hehe:

So is this an indirect admission that Gilani govt is “allowing” the drone attacks? :hmmmm:

WOW, so now “people of Pakistan” opinion matters :rotfl:, where were these jacka$$ politicians since 2009?

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

yes i think so, cuz the americans are attacking some areas in FATA they want to expand the drone campaign but uptil now the govt is resisting in that aspect. If the government remains silent, then the americans might increase the area of operation.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

Gillani is a worthless chap from Multan, the end. He don't have powers to announce the need to use the washroom, let alone ending of cia-isi relations.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

Gilani sahib is turning out to be a junior ISPR spokesman. Can you imagine the utter stupidity and arrogance of our Generals to think that WE should get an apology from CIA when the whole world is asking us to explain how Osama was probably eating chappli kababs and tikka from Army mess?

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

This is actually responsibility of ISPR to say something on the issue but they are silent. Even they are not telling about OBL's wife. Only truth can satisfy the people.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

Gilani is trying to sound credible.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

You know what this sounds like?

Let's say that you go and steal your neighbour's jewelry and put it inside your shalwar. But your neighbour finds out and while you were sleeping he comes and puts his hand inside your shalwar and pulls out the jewelry in front of others.

Do you now expect anyone to be sympathetic for your ghairat being violated?

Aapko ghairat sey rehna hain to superpower say pangay mat lein

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

you are making it sound like the neighbor was a poor innocent hard-worker :hehe:

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

Not at all. Your neighbour may be a chor also but he does not depend on you for his next plate of food, hain jee?

We can either become ghairatmand and swear off all US aid and IMF loans etc and then take pangay. Or we can understand that aid dependent countries cannot mess with their donors and swallow our pride (except when survival is threatened).

BTW, if we go for the first option, half of Guppies will need to face the prospect of losing their comfortable life overseas.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

Pakistan does not depend on chor also for next plate of food, check decade of 90s, GDP growth may be slow but it was always there.

Once you start accepting aid then you become dependent on it, once you stop accepting then you struggle for sometime but then become independent.

what do ‘overseas’ Pakistanis have to do with prospect of losing comfortable lives? :hmmm:

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

question is
is the ISI-Haqqani/LeT/assorted psychos orgy over?

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

I don't believe that.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

**
ISI stops information sharing with CIA: British newspaper**

Tension between the ISI and CIA surfaced after the US military operation in Abbottabad.

**A British newspaper claims that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) stopped sharing information with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) after the covert US operation in Abbottabad.
**
The paper claims that the ISI is not sharing information about the terrorists in the tribal areas and other operations with the CIA. This has put the various European countries along with Canada and America at a security risk.

The paper also claims that rich people from the Arab states often used to meet with the Taliban and Al-Qaeda officials in Abbottabad.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

In the 1990s we had an economy that only faced US sanctions, but no travel restrictions or trade prohibitions. If we keep sheltering Osama or Zawahiri in Cantts or Defence and then try to pretend that we are the victims, sanctions are only the beginning. We’ll face travel restrictions, trade cutoffs etc. Already today it is damn hard for anyone with the green passport to get a visa to any place of importance. If that is totally cutoff, just use your imagination.

Many of the cyber jihadis here are comfortably sitting in Western countries while glorifying Taliban and jihad. That will change if our GHQ keeps hiding Al Qaeda in safehouses.

Re: ISI - CIA Romance over?

Topic at hand is "aid" not "sanctions", nuff said.
