I think there is serious concern in the west that lunatics like Gul seem to control the Pakistani media. Geo for example, and to lesser degree ARY are simply mouth pieces of the ISI. Hamid Mir and Shahid Masood are both paid on the ISI payrol.

well Gul's statement might have been ignored as just his firebrand attitude, but US officially taking notice and trying to do damage control here indicates there is something to it.
BB death should not be taken as just a random incident. before she came to Pakistan, intelligence circles were aware of this plot around the world. Even Musharraf said that in the interview, "she should not come right now, believe there is real danger to her life"
If we take the whole scenario. Rehman Malik and Miliband in UK, BB, Musharraf and Hussain Haqani and US government were behind the deal to bring back BB under a deal. the game plan may not even end there it may have included the assassination of BB due to BB denial on some terms.
and aftermath of her death also taken into account, how to whole setup taken shape. US cant be ruled out simply. including some low lives within her party, who can be seen at top of Pak government now as a reward/deal of grand game played with Pakistan people.
