ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

Finally Pakistan is waking up to the real game.

Business Recorder [Pakistan’s First Financial Daily]=

ISLAMABAD (November 21 2009): Pakistan on Friday expressed its serious concerns over the US Central Intelligence Agency’s interference in the country’s internal matters, including its covert support to some terrorists and the terrorist activities they carried out over the past few weeks or months and presented to the visiting CIA chief some proof in this regard.

Sources said that during the meeting of CIA chief Leon E. Panetta, who is on an unannounced visit to Pakistan, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Ahmed Shuja Pasha said that CIA officials were assisting the terrorist elements who were carrying out terror attacks on Pakistan and asked him to shun such practices.

Sources said that ISI chief told him that Pakistani intelligence agencies had incriminating evidence about the CIA officials’ involvement in providing assistance to perpetrators of some terrorist activities within Pakistan, which had negative impact on Pakistan’s efforts towards war on terror.

The sources said that ISI chief also told the CIA top official that Pakistan was fully committed to flushing out terrorists from Pakistani soil, adding that there is no reality about the presence of any “Quetta Shura” and the presence of al Qaeda or Taliban leadership as perceived by the US.

Sources further said the CIA chief also met President Zardari. The President emphasised that US must fully share its Afghan policy with Pakistan and that his country’s input should also be included in the new policy. It has also been learnt that the President also underlined that the US policy towards Afghanistan must take into account Pakistan’s concerns relating to the possible surge of US and Isaf forces in Afghanistan, which may entail negative implications for the situation in Balochistan.

The CIA chief also met Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. The Prime Minister conveyed to the US that its new Afghan policy should not disturb the regional balance in South Asia. Gilani emphasised that the US must fully share the contours of its roadmap for Afghanistan and ensure incorporation of Pakistan’s input in its new policy. In the meeting, the US Afghan policy review also came under discussion.

He stressed that the new Afghan policy of US government should not disturb the regional balance in South Asia. Gilani said it was imperative to remove misgivings, build trust and seek to align the respective strategic concepts of both Pakistan and the US to steadfastly move forward in strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Prime Minister stressed the need for close co-ordination between the intelligence agencies of both sides to effectively counter the prevalent misperceptions in the relationship. The Director of US Central Intelligence Agency assured the Prime Minister that the US was fully conscious of Pakistan’s pivotal role in the war against terrorism and restoration of stability in Afghanistan.

“The US considers Pakistan a strategic partner with whom it wants to build a long-term and sustained relationship even beyond the co-operation in countering the militancy and extremism,” he added. He agreed with the Prime Minister that operational functioning between the two militaries and intelligence agencies was the need of the hour against the threat of terrorism.

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

They should have started up this a long time ago , i am sick of this US Do more crap , we should be telling them to Do more.

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

Damn US, we have to free ourselves from it.

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

i dont think pakistan would have chosen THE UTURN as emphatically as it did if it had been under civilian control. neither ns nor bibi (who was already doublecrossing US at time of her death) would have caved in so easilly. like gen gul says its a possibility that mush was brought in for this purpose.

and yes the current popular conspiracy theories are also musharrafs. and yes the theories are anti american to the core (to enable its sell to the pak faithful) but they also control pak population well whilst american designs are completed. if the 'majbur' theory was true back then surely the situation had changed by 2003, 2004,5,6,7,8,910.

'pakistanis are waking up now' is a blatant lie. even the headlines were predicting civil war in oct 2001

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

Back to the topic guys. There must be no surprise if CIA is pulling the strings… they have a history, but the sad part is we are not sure who is friend or foe anymore!

For those who think CIA/US is innocent and all.. a simple search would do

cia history intervention governments - Google Search

CIA is bad bad, very bad. In fact Satan incarnated.

Oh meray bhai,

Rogue elements can exist in a small number in any organization.

However state organizations like USA, KGB, ISI, Mossad etc. operate under direct orders form their governments and they all follow a specific path as outlined by their leaders.

When you look at CIA, also look at OTHER organizations of similar class and stature. And then do an honest comparison.

CIA during the cold war, FOUGHT KGB and Commies.

Certain parties were supporting commies and KGB.
CIA was against them

Certain countries were supporting USA
KGB was against them.

Thus CIA is just a government organization that protects US interests. Thus CIA will not do anything to harm the allies of the USA. But it will go against those who are anti-USA.

And KGB was working to safeguard commie interests.

Like ISI whose sole job is to protect Pakistani interests.

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

^ So, you have no issues with CIA 'protecting' USA's interests operating in Pakistan? Overthrowing government that might hinder its operations? Fixing puppet governments?

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

mods- sort this out please.
This is locked until some people are given lessons in rudimentary civility.

Care to explain where CIA came in Pakistan and ON ITS OWN overthrew a government?

Why do we all love to throw around accusations and innuendos?

FYI!

CIA typically shows up in a country A, when

  1. A commie-group of power elite of that country A decides to INVITE KGB

As a reaction to #1

  1. The second pro-USA group of power elite of the country A decides to INVITE CIA.

Thus the blame should be with power of elite of country A, who FAILED to unite among themselves to protect their OWN f'ing country.

Here is an example for those whose minds are not clouded with commie-propaganda. And by the way, you don't have to go TOO far to see this example.

Look at the basket case country called Afghanistan.

Afghani elite based on their ethnic-chauvinism, and their commie-leanings invited KGB/Russians to rule their @rses.

Then the Jihadi elite based on their religious chauvinism, went to CIA, Mossad, and ISI and begged for money and weapons.

BOTH KGB and CIA obliged to the Afghani-estupeed elite's INVITATION.

Thus we must blame as number 1, the Afghani elite, instead of beating a commie-drum and blame the whole thing on one small party.

This is a child's logic that CIA had to come by themselves and overthrow a government to be accused of working against govt, dude CIA is an 'intelligence' agency not an armed force, they use locals to incite against government, they buy loyalties etc.

And guess what!

Whatever results from CIA/KGB/ISI/Mossad/Raw/MI5's actions,

should have at least 50% (if not more) share for the LOCALS who get "incited" against their governments, and who "sell" their loyalties.

That's all.

Secondly, while we pick on one spy agency from the Right (pro-USA),

We
must also pick the other spy agencies and other organizations from the LEFT (anti-USA)

in order to be "Fair and Balanced" (as our FAVORITE TV channel ;) would say).

In summary we must get out of the caveman mentality that someone else came and did BAD things to us.

We must be strong enough to accept our own follies FIRST!

Re: ISI accuses CIA of terrorism within Pakistan

^ I do agree that there are people who sell themselves, there are flaws in our own people, no denying here. However there are who people shrug off idea of non-Pakistan/non-Afgan elements inciting/fueling fire. Mir Jaffar, Mir Sadiq didn't land from moon.
