Further, the source said, “The federal government kept Ebad as governor due to MQM’s presence in federal government but owing to the ongoing Karachi operation, time has come for Ebad to quit.”
The PML-N led federal government has already begun the consultation process for a new governor but will make its final decision after reaching consensus with all stakeholders.
“Rangers want to target criminals in the city and to arrest those criminals belonging to MQM and other parties,” the source further said.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain and his party have already disassociated themselves from Ebad and demanded his resignation but that demand never materialised.
Further, the source said, “The Sindh Governor is also still in contact with Pervez Musharraf and is trying to request Pakistan Army to be soft on MQM. However, Musharraf’s plea was not adhered to.”
“Musharraf’s contacts with anyone annoy PM Nawaz as well,” the source added.

Wrong. Akbar Bugti sardar of Bugti tribe was killed by missile during Mush era. Altaf Hussain should be deported to Pakistan to face murders trials.

Bhai jan, taking MQM’s leadership down doesnt exactly doesnt mean gunning them down. It could be done politically as well.
And for now it seems like establishment is ok with Bhai on the seat and there isnt much they can do about it.
They had the bast chance when Moazzam Ali was captured from Azizabad and when Saulat Mirza was alive and could be a live witness. Water under the bridge now

I think my first national ID card was made even before 1976, it was 1973. He opened employment in middle east and then introduced first time NDVP (national development volunteer program for unemployed graduates by giving them stipend till employed. Pakistan will never have leader like ZAB again.
