This is a hit turkish drama being telecasted in pakistan these days with urdu dubs.. Everyone seems to be talking about it.

I love the show, it’s a guilty pleasure :blush: Started watching it when it was more than half-done but got hooked instantly.

There’s a craze here in Pak about Ishq-e-mamnu… everyone’s watching it, it’s like the next Humsafar

Bang on about it being the next Humsafar. Everyone is talking about it even my 7 year old's class fellows. Bihter and Behlul are the current Ashar and Khirad.

It's not mamoo, it's Mamnu.... Ishq-e-Mamnu meaning forbidden love.

You'll like it if you want something full of drama and plot twists. It's a typical soap, but it's different from our usual soaps so everyone's hooked.

Haven't seen the drama but based on Wikipedia, aren't Behtar and behlul basically banging their brains out?!? So how come ppl aren't going 'hawww haiiii' ?

we cannot compare Ishq-e-Memnu with Hamsafar at any cost . no doubt its a big big hit but not equal to Hamsafar ,bcoz Hamsafar was a family drama ppl watch it with their families nd bazurgs as well but, we cnt watch ishq-e-memnu with our elders aur bazurgs bcoz the illegitimate relationships are too much exposed ,their overall costumes r not worth watching with the whole family .... "no doubt the story is attractive to the viewers but the main reason behind this is the main crux of the story nd the costumes nd exposure all over as well....

Just comparing the popularity levels of Ishq e mamnu and Humsafar and not the actual storyline. Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no other drama that can match Ishq e Mamnu's popularity right now. I'm not sure what costumes or exposure is being disussed here because TV 1 censors even the hint of a cleavage let alone smooching or making out.

im with you on this one...i think its only popular cuz its a foreign drama thats been dubbed the storyline is kinda subpar as compared to certain american n british soaps for example...

even the story lines of today;s pakistani dramas (i.e. hum safar, shehr-e-zaat etc) are better than that of ishq e mamnu but if you like ishq e mamnu kinda of story line you'd be better off watching an american or brit soap (american if you dont prefer comedy in your soaps and brit if you prefer a bit of humor)

in short i think ishq e mamnu is over-rated

My sister was visiting me from Pakistan and I heard about this one from her.She watches it and enjoys it.She gave me a synopsis,went over my head.I saw 1-2 mins of it,made me cringe....it is horrible dubbing...!!

thats so true. even heard my colleagues talking about it. I am personally not a big fan of dubbed dramas. I think I will prefer my own national dramas any time.
