When we do Isaal-e-Sawaab can we do it for more than 1 person at the same time.
For instance if its of the Quran & can we not read the Quran & do Isaal-e-Sawaab for 2 or more deceased person at the same time.

Walaikum Assalam,
I once asked this question from a scholar. He told me that when we do any good deed for Isaal-e-Sawaab of a single person, only if we make a "Niyyah" (intention) for other people also, all of them can benefit from it, by the grace and mercy of Allah (swt). It is similar to the case of lighting candles. No matter if I light one candle or thausands of candles with the fire of a single candle, it does not decrease the fire of the original candle, yet every other candle receives fire.
Though I don't remember the source, I once heard it from a scholar that a man was passing by a graveyard, so he decided to recite darood shareef for Isaal-e-Sawaab of people in that graveyard, but then due to a thought that came into his mind, he prayed to Allah (swt) to make that darood shareef a source of blessing for all the (beloved to Allah) people who are lying in their graves in different parts of the world, hence because of this one sincere intention his one deed was multiplied with inifinity and it became a source of forgiveness for him on the day of Judgement, because Allah (swt) became pleased with his sincere intentions and care for all the people lying in their graves.
Please correct me if anyone feels anything to be wrong in my words, as I don't remember any authentic source to support the above view.
Allah (swt) knows BEST!

I thought why could they not read for Afshi’s khala & MehnazQ’s father at the same time.
So i began thinking maybe we weren’t supposed to & finally asked it on here.
