SOOOOOO many people I know are VERY well educated and possess Masters, PhD's, etc from amazing schools...but their pronunciation, grammar, enunciation, etc may not be the best.
It doesn't signify anything aside from English not being their first language. It takes a lifetime to master another language...not a total of 4-6 years. If I relocated to a foreign country and their native language was not English...I'd be the uneducated one there if I didn't speak their language right. For instance, my Urdu is good but not like a Pakistani native's might be.
If I don't understand certain words or don't use/pronounce them properly...does that make me uneducated?
You are right Reha. The ability to master another language diminishes with age. I think if you are like 16 or older it's much more difficult to pick up another language with fluency. It took my father decades to improve his English and he is a customer service engineer dealing with customers day and night, but he was not hired based on how grammatically correct his English was.
Again to the OP, how less educated is the guy? There is a huge difference between a high school graduate and one with a Bachelor's degree.
What if the guy was French with poor grammar and an accent :p.
For you I think education is equal to speaking fluent English.
I don’t get it…. This is another problem with “desis” , they think if someone is speaking English he/she is soooo highly educated no matter what1!! I have seen people who speak fluent English but un k top floor khaalay thay & on the contrary there are people who are not good at it but they have knowledge & skills….. they are doing some real **** in this real world because they have “brain” which counts I think …education is about equipping yourself with knowledge & that could be in any language. No doubt all the developed nations in this world acquired education in their own languages.
You yourself said that some of the smartest and successful kids comes from “stupid” parents ( according to you) .. If stupid parents can produce smart & successful kids then what kind of impact on “family life & quality of life, and the kids” are we talking about here? plz elaborate…
You think your cousin’s dad is “useless” just because he was not able to help him…. Cooolll
