Is Transit Visa needed for UK?

If travelling from mainland Europe, via UK Heathrow, to another country in Asia.

The flight connects via London Heathrow, and the stop over is only 2 hours at Heathrow Airport.

So my question for someone bearing a Pakistani Passport, is it necessary to obtain a Transit visa for UK?

No u dont...i was coming frm pakistan n i had 9 hrs transit..they didnt asked any visa or something..

but if u r going out side of aitport then u need a visa for that...

nope you dont, until unless, an airport transfer is required.. i.e from Heathrow to Gatwick or Stansted or vice versa....

Or if your transit is more than 24 hours...

I am pretty sure that you do even if it is a transit for 1 minute. They require a visa for even transit in some countries even in Germany. I remember this very well because i had a transit in Frankfurt and they asked for the EU visa even for the transit.

Better call them and confirm as I am pretty sure that you need it.
