lol...if you are planning to be a ghar jamai then you should look for a rich father in law....but in case you are not going to be a ghar jamai, then ofcourse maybe you will get many expensive gifts but not wealth...

Oh come on people , if a girl can ask for so much moola from her husband , then why not other way round . I think if her parents wants to ‘‘help’’ out her husband , and eventually family , then nothing wrong with it .

yes. absolutely. when have I ever tried to hide this fact. I want a sugar mama. if girls can look for a a moneymaking machine so they can sit home and watch Star Plus till they actually start losing IQ points… then why can’t us guys look for the same. it’s a new trend. we’re moving up in the world.

its nt really abt it being rite/wrong...its more got to do whether u think u can provide yr wife the life she is use to of as otherwise it can cause issues in yr maritial life.

Joke is fine but seriously asking for money from girls/their family means something wrong with them not being men.
The word here is if they want to…sure. But expecting, demanding and asking is different issue.

I find it shameful to live off on your in-laws.
Other than that there are some disadvantages too.
A girl belonging to a rich family will most probably be a "bigri hoi larki". Even if you get the money from your in-laws to fulfill her "bigri hui adatein", it will only downgrade you and your wife will have less respect for you knowing your source of money.
There are many examples of poor guys marrying rich girls and spending the rest of their life as their secretaries.
Girl expects guy to be financially sound... Dont see anything wrong with it. A guy should be well off if he wants a nice, pretty, decent girl from a good background. If hes not, too bad.
Guy expects girl's parents to be financially sound; BIG PROBLEM.... He expects money from her parents; HE IS A KAMEENA

With all the comments above it seems like poor guys are not allowed to love a rich girl . He is not allowed to see any future together . In the end its all about the money that will decide the shape of our feelings , the way we treat others , and how we should expect us to be treated . We are one ironic money driven society .

Well you are allowed to love a rich girl but make sure you are able to support her. Also, if she is deeply in love with you, she will make compromise for you asneeded. At the end of the day it boils down to your intentions....love or money.

I do not think that is the conclusion one should draw out of discussion.
By all means love a filthy rich girl. But love her for who she is as a person and not how rich she is.
Let me give a different angle here: Should anyone accept anyone of opposite sex KNOWING that that person feels comfortable of the fact that this person is being accepted JUST because of how rich this person is?
Just to elaborate further: If a girl feels okay to be liked by the man just because she is rich then she is not the one man should marry.
The example can be given opposite. It would be low for a man to be agreeable to the fact that the girl liked him JUST because he is filthy rich.
Not to say these kind of marriages do not occur but one can tell why!
The rich person is either ugly, old or has other issues weather that is a man or woman.

What if that sugar mama works hard for the money… has long hours, cannot cook or clean for you at all. Then you two will have to eat the greasy food from outside all the time. She’ll gain weight, then you’ll make her feel bad about being a moti bhains while you continue to leach off of her money
