Re: Is this True??
I would reccomend you drink something instead something like a milkshake will do you a lot of good.
As for eating so long as it’s food thats light and not too fatty or greasy you will be okay but like all things do not overdo it… you might waste all that effort. ![]()

Re: Is this True??
your body is in its most anabolic states from right after you finish your workout (not just every set or every excersise, YOUR WHOLE WORKOUT) and up until 90 minutes after it... so it needs protein, protein and more protein to repair all the muscle with the micro tears... so best thing to do it is drink your whey protein shake (WITH WATER... NOT MILK, save the milk for before bed or first thing in the morning, even tho i recommend with water in the morning too... but highly recomend milk for before bed, or else cottage cheese because they contain "casien" which is a slow absorbing protein) and a bannana after your workout (that includes cardio if you do it at the end of your workout, have your shizzle after the workout)

In actual fact your body is in its most anabolic state right after you wake up in the morning.
Right after your workout its best to have a mixture of protien and carbs. Best time to get some fats in as well.

well can u tell some what r some natural resources of carbs.......i eat 2 boiled eggs right after my work out
Re: Is this True??
Workout leads to muscle tissue tears and to repair them and help create more it is recommended to eat/drink something that contains Protein and is fast digestive as soon as possible. Whey protein is considered to be the best in this regard considering its fast digestive contents, It actually starts to repair the tissues soon after its taken hence most recommended.
Milk for example is slow digestive hence is not recommended after a workout, Milk however comes handy while one sleeps as it feeds the body with protein slowly throughout the entire night, along with milk theres egg whites as well which are slow to digest.

But i dont have Whey protein man :(
Re: Is this True??
But i dont have Whey protein man :(
its okay to go with milk then, lots of it, whey is handy since 2 scoops of it is like 60g of protein while 500ml of fat free milk is about 20g give or take :/ and u need alotta portein in ur body if ur serious about bodybuilding throughout the day, u need to eat protein rich foods about 5-6 times a day that includes 1 or 2 shakes + 3-4 "meals"
Re: Is this True??

In Pakistan we get those open Yogurts at the milk shop right, by the kilo? Noticed the water surrounding the yogurt once it sits for a while? That water is Whey also known as Whey Protein. :-)
Milk shop owners care less about it and would not mind selling the water to you for close to nothing, you can make use of it post workout if you want.
Re: Is this True??
yeah i know to gain weight i have to eat 5 6 meals per day and that too full of proteins ![]()
wow man never knew it …ok i will buy from them today and try it tomorrow …how much should i drink BTW
Thanks
Re: Is this True??
Have a glass of it (250ml) post workout, It should have 25-30 grams of Protein in it alone, the rest you can have from milk, chicken, eggs, fish, meat etc.
Edit: If you weigh 150 pounds, you generally would need 150 grams of Protein, a little less won’t do any harm and a little more will only help. If you are underweight and young in age you might see muscle gains faster than most normal weighted individuals even If you don’t end up taking as much protein you need as your body would still be in the developing stages.
