ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday confirmed that his children were US citizens, reported DawnNews.
WikiLeaks had recently released a cable sent by the US ambassador to Washington which said that Nisar’s children were holding US passports.
“Yes it was true that my children have American passports,” said the PML-N stalwart in a press conference. However, he added, that citizenships were given to them during a family dispute without their consent.
Nisar said that his children will decide about the US citizenship when they grow up.

PS: unless kids were born in US (which normally is planned too), there is no way that citizenship can be ‘given’

If his wife took the divorce (family dispute) and then took political asylum in US and had custody of kids at the time in US then she could have filed for asylum for kids too. Which would be without their consent.
I am speculating as to how it is that the kids were given citizenship without consent.

Story is not clear. But what he said is utter nonsense and lie. No one get citizenship here without taking oath. This is the first news of forced citiznship in America since it was foundd in July 4 1776:)

People born in the US are automatically US citizen. Only exception is children's of diplomats.
So you are saying that all his children were born in America. But then again it is not forced citizenship, as far I know even they have to apply for citizenship and passports. who knows he may also be citizen of America. We elect such politicians knowing that the future of their children is linked to development of another country, not Pakistan. Why should we expect sincerity from them in the first place?

Bechara NIsar, he tried but American forcefully gave their name-tag (read nationality) to his children, i think Americans might have a view that he is rare Species and its off-spring should have been saved... there is a term for it, i don't remember... something related to Species???
