Someone says that the word of some mullah is the word of Allah. Is this shirk to you or not?
(mods don’t move it to religion, this is for every sane Muslim out there)

Crazy as in full on shirk right?
I don't know... it just sounds crazy that the word/opinion of some human being (other than the prophets) could equal to the word of Allah swt.
Mullahs/Aalims are not prophets.
Re: Is this shirk to you?
I think you have posted that saying without posting any further reference so people are gonna take it out of context.
Re: Is this shirk to you?
yes, it is.
Re: Is this shirk to you?
I cannot claim to be a "sane Muslim"...sane, perhaps and hopefully. Muslim...not yet. Just so you know where I'm coming from.
Ok so you have the Koran which is interpreted by the Mullahs. Many times the Mullahs put their own spin on meanings and interpretations of the text. Unless you are very fluent in the Arabic language, you can get really caught up in the various translations and apparent conflicts between the different interpretations.
Some say that the Koran is words from God/Allah, un-edited and true. If thats the case, then Mullahs should not be allowed to voice their interpretations of it. Youcan see all sorts of this type ofconflict...everything from whether a Muslim woman is allowed to marry a christian to whether lobster is halaal or haraam, whether vanilla flavoring is allowed, ALL sorts of variations on handling infertility and adoption.
As one seeking to find a true belief, I see these conflicts in all religions including Islaam. Its disturbing that organized religions seem to promote hatred and discrimination against fellow humans. For the time being, Im quite happy to be the best person I can be without making judgements of others and I really think that this is what was intended by whatever Higher Being there is out there.

The ulema acquire knowledge after many many years of studying the classical Arabic language in depth, the Quran in depth, at least 6 hadith books, history, law everything within context. Not anyone can give out rulings and interpretations on the Quran. Anyway, that's a different topic.
All I am asking here, if someone comes up to us, be they the most pious person in this world and they say that their WORD is the WORD of God. Is that shirk or not? Simple question.
Re: Is this shirk to you?
If you mean to ask whether its wrong, my answer is Yes, its very wrong. To the point of blasphemy...to have the audacity to say that "I am the one who knows so you have to listen to me".
CP, why are u so serious all the time?
Have u ever tried flooding?
I can teach u!
Aho isi zehnaiat ne tu masla khara kiya hai ke Mulla ko ju napasand osey deen ke nwahi main shamil ker diy agiya ju Mulla ko pasand osey AWAMIR gardana jata hai Allah tu bas khamosh tamashai nazar att ahai yahan
Becharey Firaoon aur Namorrood ko patta nahi koi saza di gai jab aisey aisey Mullaon aur on ki perwi kerney walon ne deen ka bera gharq ker ke rakh diya hai:hoonh:
Someone says that some man’s word is word of God. That is a serious issue to be serious about.
no I am not “serious” all the time and I dislike flooding, kills braincells.
Kabi to sida jawab de diya karein. Aapki kitaab pata ni kb khatam hogi. ![]()
Re: Is this shirk to you?
As far as I know, shirk means to worship a god/gods other than Allah or equate someone else with Him. I guess this guy is committing borderline shirk.
Re: Is this shirk to you?
It's pure shirk, imo..
One more reason taliban's will burn in hell because they follow their mullahs words just like that ..
Re: Is this shirk to you?
He's basically asking you to commit shirk, because he's saying whatever pours out of his mouth IS the word of God (thereby making him some magical proxy for God), or he's saying that whatever he says is with 100% accurate understanding of God's message to us and thereby, he is saying what God is saying, in which case, the dude has no humility and you should find another mullah to listen to...
OR
God forbid, interpret the Quran yourself.
Re: Is this shirk to you?
For goodness sake ppl where did you learn your Islam ![]()
Do you even know the definition of shirk ???
and no .. the above statement isnt shirk ..youd knw if you knew the definition of shirk … however IT ISSS Haraam 100%.
God forbid, interpret the Quran yourself.
May Allah save us from that^ disease.
the topic isn't about interpretation of the Quran...!

Re: Is this shirk to you?
depends on what the Mulla is saying. if hes quoting the Quran obviously not. if hes saying Allah said this to me in a dream I'd be very skeptical. not enough info.
