Does anyone know if islaams allows a couple who are not talking to each other but still live in the same house for the sake of their children?
If following are the orders for dealing with just a Muslim brother who might not even be your relative, can we imagine what would be the orders regarding the most liked relationship in front of Allah (s.w.t) ?
[quote]
“Shall I not inform you of a better act than fasting, alms and prayers? Making peace between one another: Enmity and malice tear up heavenly rewards by the roots.” “No Muslim is allowed not to talk to his brother for more than three consecutive days. The better one is the one who starts the greeting.” “God has no mercy on one who has no mercy for others.” “Be merciful to those who live on Earth so that the One in Heaven may be merciful to you.” “God is most compassionate to those of His servants who are themselves compassionate.”

It's not possible to live in the same house without talking to each other unless the house is as big as a palace.
Re: is this right?
If your after a sharee nukta on this then I don't think their marriage will be annulled or anything of the sort if they don't communicate with one another.
Re: is this right?
Mirrage is only annulled when the process of divorce takes place. Anyway, staying togather just for the sake of children is not healthy for the couple or the children as it more painful for the children to see that their parents are living togather but have no love or respect for eachother.
I tried a lot to find a hadith specifically related to the question asked in this thread, but couldn't. I only found a lot of hadiths that emphasis the rights of husband and wife over each others. Probably the reason of not specifically mentioning this matter in any hadith is because after reading all those related hadiths, the answer to this question becomes somewhat obvious.
Just my understanding, which might be wrong. Allah (s.w.t) knows BEST!
