Ums, Not a strange query. :flower1: i am not certain how accurate that comment is.
It was apparently reported by IAP News on 3 October 2001; the comment was aired on Israeli Hebrew radio, Kol Yisrael. Sharon stated it in response to a comment by then Foreign Minister Shimon Peres. Personally i think it is accurate, but everyone is free to believe whatever they want. This is one source for it.

I don't know if the quote is true, but then again which country has got away with bombing a US Naval Ship (USS Liberty) and killing 34 American soldiers? That whole affair exposes the true "power" of the Zionist/Israeli lobby in the USA.

Why is it that it wasn't the top of the headlines in U.S.? Where are the headlines on that comment?
I mean.. many U.S. papers look for intrigue and adversity. Hey.. they know the American readers want and like to read controversy.
I doubt that most Americans, Jewish-Americans also would tolerate a proven remark such as this.
I would guess that it might make the Israeli citizens somewhat cozy..and sounds like election-speak.
Like Sharon saying..hey.. I'm holding the world in the palm of my hands.....
But anyone with 2 bits sense should be able to see through those remarks.
