I am quite a private person. So whenever someone is talking about me or looking at me or even mentioning me when I am not there but later find out I was mentioned I start squirming and cringing. For example, I was filling out a job application along with a CV and asked my close family friends daughter (2 years older than me) to check it. But whilst she was checking it I was again squirming and cringing so bad (she was checking it in my presence). Is this normal? Does it happen to everyone?

You are self-conscious and have low self confidence.
You need to gain self confidence and become more secure about yourself.
