Whilst it may be true to say that age is just a number in most circumstances. in this particular circumstance should it have been emphasised?
Does it not seem a little selfish? Most women do want be blessed with a bundle of joy and I guess one has to experience the joys of motherhood or have an ardent desire for a child to truly comprehend that.
However, every child also want their parents to have a long life, to see them grow up and settle down.
Every child is a blessing I believe that but do the moral, ethical and social considerations prove to be too strong in such cases where the parents are essentially in retirement age and giving birth?
I don't think it's unfair. She's financially stable, it appears, in perfect health etc. Preferable for her to have a child than a 16 year old no?
Are women who have chronic conditions criticized for wantign to have hchildren?
You never know when you will die. Young women in perfct health with no histories etc can suddenly die...i dont think its fair to bash her for her choices.
You ask if it's fair to the child---millions of children are born to extremely unfit parents, in areas of extreme poverty, political instability...Is it fair for them? Back in the day when blacks and whites hooked up i'm pretty sure ppl said then too....will it be fair for teh child to be bi-racial....just an example. ppl will always talk. point is, kids cant choose their parents but they will be used to whatever we give them at that young age..
I don't think it's fair and rather than keep trying all these years she could have adopted earlier on when the ivf wasn't working, there are so many kids that need a good home.
Having said that it's equally messed up seeing some desi men in their 60's having babies with their second/third/whatever wife..
