Ok, I am not very knowledgeable about Islamic rulings so I try to keep opinions to myself. But this one issue has been boggling my mind for past couple of days because logically it just doesn’t make sense and my understanding is that Islam is a very logical religion.
Any ways, recently I read in news about Saddam Hussein’s daughter going for Nikah Al-Jihad (Sex for Jihad) and then there was another story of a saudi women who is around 17-19 years old and had slept with around a thousand men for the same cause. Now she’s pregnant and she doesn’t even know who the father is. Saudi is the same country where people are stoned for adultery on a regular basis.
So is this practice allowed in Islam? Is it mentioned in Quran some where? Do we have any instances in the time of prophet of this practice?
My understanding by far was that there are three kinds of Jihad, One by Sword, One by the Pen and One by the tongue. I am not sure under which category this one falls in even if it has a little credibility.

Peace Simply Seema
For a woman to have slept with a thousand men and perhaps later realise she was pregnant - which usually takes 3 months to work that out that she has missed her cycle ... would mean should had slept with 333 men per month in those 3 months, 11 men everyday ... 1 man every 2 hours constantly for 3 months !!!
Is that even possible? let alone if the above is allowed ...
Seema, you shouldn't even be surprised or confused about this story only because a religious term was thrown in. Your logic and intuition told you this was waaaaaay wrong, so it's wrong. I wouldn't even bother to verify the legitimacy of something like this in Islam, I know it's hands down wrong.

Your maths is good but apki science thori kamzore hai
Well if the Saudis and other mid east countries permit it, that means they believe Islam allows it(according to their interpretations), so I guess views vary from various schools of thoughts; many Gulf arab states and Iran even allow contract marriages, and there is even a halal brothel in europe.
I don't know if it's right, but I can't say it's wrong because there's a lot about Islam i don't know; I've read that during the Prophet's time, concubines were common and were permitted, and an Islamist friend of mine believed it was true.
Anyways, humans are sexual creatures and they will find a way to screw around, if it's halal it's better.

In more stricter Arab countries, many vices take place under cover. In others, it's more open. Neither of the two necessarily mean that the actions are allowed in Islam. You look at references in Islam to determine the validity of the actions. What you've assumed is a simplified approach that leads to the development of stereotypes.
And before you decide to use my former post as a contradiction, let me clarify that the average Muslim is fully aware of the basic rulings on zina and what kinds of relationships are halal/haram, so basic knowledge is enough to conclude that what the OP has enquired about isn't halal; deep research isn't required.
Anybody, who is saying that the news is not credible or a single muslim's action doesn't matter. Please google it and you'll be surprised. Apparently there was also an imam in Tunisia who actually gave fatwa for it being permissible reason being some thing in the lines of the law of necessity allowing forbidden things.
Really? I grew up there too. I lived in Al-Khobar. I didn’t witness anything horrible. I did hear about alcohol and other things happening on the down low. But the general Muslim populace knows it’s haram.
I was in Riyadh which is far much stricter then other cities. My family has been living in saudi since the 70's and have seen it going from bad to worse to horrible.
