I seek some comments on the authenticity of the following story of a Lizard (“Wazagh”) and Pigeon that I’ve heard many times. I have been able to verify the part about lizard. But not the part about Pigeon or some other bird (Ababeel?). Nor I’ve been able to verify that someone was able to listen to either pigeon or the bird talking. While the story is an excellent one to convey a point across but I want to know the authenticity. Please share source information in case you find any.
Yes Brother @desentGuy Moulana Tariq Jameel is Quoting the Hadith # 3109 from Bukhari Shareef in Kitab Ahadees il Ambia about the Lizard! the pigeon story Walla Alam may be in Mishqaat Shareef or Sahee Muslim!
Are you referring to this Bukhari 3109 ?
There are other references(Bukhari 1831, Muslim 2238, Bukhari 3359 and Muslim 2240) that talk about the lizard part, but nothing about the pigeon or bird part. Nor anything about any conversation by the lizard or by the bird.
