Ever asked yourself this question? … after being successful in a long and/or hard chase of your goals, and ultimately got used to of that, not getting all the pleasures you expected in the start of your chase. How is that kind of feeling? Gives you more motivation to fly higher or is a kind of discouragement like “If this is all there is why try”?
For example (just an example), in the start going overseas for studies, new culture and all that stuff sounded pretty good in imaginations but eventually “is this all there is?”:halo:
What do you think??? Please put your thoughts in it…
it depends on the person. Some people dont even goals. Others keep setting their goals higher and higher. And some are satisfied by their goals.
And if one isnt satisfied after achieving the goals set in life, one should try a change of career/goals? Because the question 'is this all there is'has a different anwser for every person.
When I was working, after a few months I'd get really bored at my job. So I switched jobs a few times but never felt satisfied in any. Finally decided to go to grad school, and feel it was a good decision. I dont feel bored and I feel its very challenging. Alhumdulillah.
If you're thinking along those lines, its time to think about plans for your life. What kind of mark do you want to leave on the planet? Do you want to raise wonderful children? Do you want to strive to be the best in your career? Publish something unique? Whatever it may be, everyone I think wants to leave some trace of themselves on the planet while they're here. If you can decide about what it is that you want to strive for that will leave your own personal mark on the planet and then focus yourself on attaining it, you wont feel as you do about it all.
Thaks for your reply guys .......... I was't actually expecting any replys bcoz topic is a bit boring.
Well, I have been reading Anthony Robbins' stuff (Unlimited Power & Awaken the Giant Within) recently and it has really pumped me up to make some real and lasting changes in my life and being here is part of the process that I want to get some information form you.
dutch_paki you are right there would be different answer from different people
Munni its good to know you have found a satisfactory and challenging job for yourself. Unfortunately for me, I am still waiting.
Mamaof3 I belive the real work starts after that decision which you said is crucial to make. Raising standards, getting rid of negative believes which are a big hurdle in your way to success and a lot more there is which I need to go through.
Just pray for me and please keep sharing your experiences. That would be great.
It is a human nature, it is never satisfied and contented with what it achieves, and is always greedy for more, Also it very easily gets bored of things and want to experience new things, besides by nature we fancy alot of things in future to be full of luxuries, but when it comes to reality it seems quite ordinary after a certain time.
