President Prevez Musharraf on Tuesday said that culprit behind the rape of lady Doctor in Sui would face hanging. Of course a military ruler is the sole owner of a country. He is a ruler, a king, a police, a military, a judge, a religious leader and so one and his words are the final. Nevertheless is this hanging a direction to the Court? Did President Pervez Musharraf issued same directive to the Court in case of Mukhtar Mai raped by 5-6 in presence of whole village near Multan?
Re: Is this a directive from General to the Court
this is one of those political statement from all current and previous politicians
"falaan crime ke zumedar ko kari se kari saza de jaye gi"
"dehshat gard afrad to 24 hours mein pakar liya jaye ga" etc etc
if he is proven guilty for this crime, according to law he can face death penelty.
mukhtar mai case criminals were punished, 2 of them face death penelty as well.
court doesnt have to work under directive from anyone. the only think they have done above cases will do the work honestly and fast by these public stunt orders. by law he cant direct to any court of Pakistan.
Re: Is this a directive from General to the Court
Actually, in his recent statement, he absolved Captain Hammad of any wrongdoing. So less work for Court and police !
Re: Is this a directive from General to the Court
Well said. Besides, justic must be served without forgoing the rule of law, somthing the US has forgotten with regards to Guantanmo bay, and the UK is starting to replace with very worrying anti-terror laws.
And to think, these rightous few, march to war for democracy and order. “pift”
Re: Is this a directive from General to the Court
The officer was absolved of any wrongdoing by the DNA tests, and that is what led Pres. Musharraf to publicly absolve him of any wrongful act.
Theres a clear agenda of prejudiced hatred against the army here, since despite being proven innocent, the army is being picked on. And the PPL, which engaged in a massive coverup, has not been touched a bit. Apparently they have been feeding the hungry pockets of the local waderas enough.
