Re: Is there justice in this world?
“Sort of” is a good in-between answer. ![]()
I wanted to see what people think about it. My father certainly thinks that there is justice. He tells of a story when he traveled in a bus between Hyd and Karachi. A young kid got in the bus trying to sell some merchandise. The bus owner was also present and he became so angry that he gave the boy a slap. The kid looked at him with hurt in his eyes and stepped outside. Everyone in the bus felt the boy’s pain, well … at least my father did.
The bus went along its route. But later it was pulled over for some reason by a highway cop. The cop was talking to the driver when the bus owner, the same guy who had slapped the kid, went to the cop to see what was happening. The cop got upset due to his interference and … gave HIM a slap on his face.
My father was delighted to see that. He thought of it as justice to the boy who got a slap for no reason from that bus owner.
Nice happy ending. I liked the lesson myself. But unfortunately, I don’t see many such happy endings. ![]()
